LMAPS undergraduate research assistants, Victoria (top), and Kyra (bottom), successfully completed internships at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Colorado and Li Industries in North Carolina, respectively.

LMAPS hosted rising seniors from the Governor's School, along with Chemical Engineering undergraduates from the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Oman, for a one-day “Battery BootCamp.” The picture shows LMAPS PhD student, Aishwarya, demonstrating the doctor blade process for coating battery electrodes to the visiting students.

LMAPS hosted students from K4–K8 schools during the Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing’s Open House Day. A group of LMAPS members, led by Kyra Burton, demonstrated redox reactions to the visitors, showcasing the processes that occur during the charging and discharging of a battery. Special Thanks to Cocky for stopping by our Booth, "The charging Station".

LMAPS's outstanding undergraduate research assistant, Victoria Colon-LaBorde, was selected for the competitive program of Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) at the Department of Energy. Victoria will spend her summer at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, working on lithium ion battery cathode and electrolyte materials
